AKGUN YAPI started its business life in 1977 with the first carpet store opened by the founder İbrahim AKGUN in Istanbul Fatih IMÇ Blocks. With the second store opened in 1994 in Esenyurt, the company expanded its product range and increased its popularity.

In the early 2000s, the AKGUN family took a big step towards becoming Turkey's largest importer and distributor of parquet and flooring products by moving to a 22.000 m2 factory and warehouse in Istanbul Hadımkoy, where it has years of industry and market experience.

AKGUN YAPI, which was restructured in the areas of delivery, service, sales and customer satisfaction as part of the institutionalization in 2006, has obtained a structure that offers the world’s leading brands to its corporate and private customers in Turkey.

In 2012, AKGUN YAPI focused on the retail market and opened the largest construction decaration store in Turkey under the brand name ‘Areahome’ on 6000 m2 in Istanbul Beykent.

Our company, which has established a supply infrastructure in many countries, particularly Sweden, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Russia, specializes in identifying, supplying and distributing the products that the market needs in the construction sector.
